Welcome to the latest British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) newsletter, brought to you in association with Health & Safety Matters magazine. As the end of the year approaches we take this opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forwards to 2010.
The BSIF has had a very successful 2009 with the launch of the highly successful Fit2Fit campaign and the continuing interest in other campaigns including Counterfeit and Illegal Products and ‘It’s in Your Hands’ – tackling workplace dermatitis. Next year the BSIF will continue to support these important campaign whilst working with stakeholders to focus on key issues still affecting workplace safety.
The first campaign to be launched next year will be ‘Clean Air? Take Care!’, a joint initiative between the BSIF and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The campaign is already well under way and aims to help reduce occupational respiratory disease by raising awareness of the issues that surround it and highlight the importance of selecting the correct respiratory protective equipment.
The 2010 BSIF Reference Guide to the British Safety Industry was given a fresh new look this year to reflect its status as a vital informative resource for the industry. We hope you like it and if you haven’t received your copy yet, please click here to see what you think.
