Escape hood
October 1st 2006

escape hood has been introduced by Avon Protection to protect 'First Responders' against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) agents.

The hood provides protection from principal CBRN agents for at least 20 minutes, allowing sufficient time for the wearer to escape from the contaminated area.

The vacuum-sealed hood is stored in a compact pouch that is small enough to fit in a desk drawer or wear on a belt. When needed, the hood can be donned within 30sec over beards, long hair and glasses. One size fits all.

Made of clear polyurethane, the EH20 protects against airborne CBRN threats and protects the face from splashes of agent. The clear material aids recognition and allows for good visual and verbal communication.

Twin low-profile filters on a special hinge system feature modern membrane technology that is said to reduce breathing resistance.

The company has been awarded a contract by OGCbuying.solutions to supply Government bodies, such as the UK Police and Ambulance service, with the EH20 hood.
