Latest SCBA additions
February 1st 2006

Enhancements have been made to self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) from MSA to increase both safety and efficiency.

Alpha technology is now available with both the AirMaxx and BD 96 systems.

Alpha SL (singleLine) pneumatics take advantage of hose-in-hose technology to simplify the SCBA air management system. The high pressure line runs inside the medium pressure line so that typical features, that normally require up to five separate hoses, are reduced to one single line.

At one end of the line is a re-designed first-stage powerful 95dB(A) alarm, bright LED visual alarm and by vibrating. Two levels of alarm can be set.

pressure reducer and, at the other end, a manifold that integrates two medium pressure connections, gauge and warning signal.

The QuickFill fast cylinder refill adapter is directly attached to the pressure reducer. The company says weight is reduced by up to 35%.
