Air Cleaner for Continuous use

When Leaside Turned Parts of Ware added a Citizen C32 CNC automatic lathe with coolblast to its other 11 machines, Air Cleaning Systems supplied and fitted an OMF 1000 high efficiency media air cleaner that is designed for continuous operation.

The freestanding unit has a 2-stage filtration system.

Stage one is a high efficiency cartridge that captures mist particulate and releases the collected oil, allowing it to drain from the filter into the sump of the unit and back into the machine tool for re-use.

Stage two comprises a HEPA filter with an efficiency of 99.9%. Clean air is returned to the machine shop.

Sections are monitored by pressure gauges, and with a prefilter life of up to 2 years, the unit is virtually maintenance-free.

Staff have noticed an improvement in the quality of respirable air both in the machining enclosure and in the vicinity of the machine.
