Copier repairer blows it with downdraft bench
September 1st 2009

Mole Valley Systems services and repairs photocopier components for distribution in the UK and Europe.

The company has to dissect and clean every assembly (up to 2000 per month) prior to refurbishment.

To ensure all traces of toner and paper dust are removed and not blown into the workshop atmosphere, an FB700II downdraft bench from Air Cleaning Systems (ACS) is used.

ACS built the FB700II to a working envelope of 1300mm wide by 800mm high to accommodate parts/assemblies over 0.5m long.

The unit is fully enclosed to guarantee operator safety and ensure that no particulate escapes into the atmosphere when the parts are blown with an air-line.
