Long-lasting protection
October 1st 2008

Scott Health & Safety has introduced the BioPak 240 Revolution 4h closed-circuit breathing apparatus (CCBA) for use in environments needing long-duration respiratory protection in Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH) environments.

Often referred to as a rebreather, CCBAs are suitable for use in applications where there is the potential for IDLH exposure for long periods of time such as in decontamination, urban search and rescue, rail car accidents, tunnel extrication or collapse, structure collapse or any environment requiring fully encapsulated gas tight suit applications.

The BioPak 240 Revolution CCBA features a quick-change cooling system that can be replaced while being worn and without breaking the breathing loop, and a patented CO2 scrubbing system design that uses solid absorbents that supports rapid deployment." User comfort and safety are key features of the unit with an ergonomic, bodycontoured design providing a slim profile and allowing for easy use under protective gear. A fully-padded harness system positions the unit on the hips to reduce fatigue and be easily adjusted to fit any user size.
