Oil mist filter units
January 1st 2006

Bosch has opened a factory in Poland specialising in the manufacture of brakes for the automotive industry.

About 70 lathes are used in the construction process and these are cooled by an oil or emulsion treatment, the disadvantage of which is the potentially hazardous oil mist that is produced.

Nederman was asked to supply oilmist filter units to eliminate the risk to employees and has so far delivered seven NOM 2000 filters, one NOM 600 filter and one NOM 18 filter.

All are connected to either one or two lathes. Some have special connections, including one with 160mm dia connected to a machine in a moving enclosure away from the main working area. In addition, two machines have been connected to a special hood with lifting device based on aluminium profiles and Plexiglas.

The next installation will comprise 13 NOM 11, 18 and 28 filters.
