UL Certification
June 1st 2010

Crowcon's intrinsically safe TXgard-IS+ gas detector is fitted with electrochemical sensors which enable it to detect a wide range of toxic gases and oxygen.

Already certified to ATEX and IECEx standards, the addition of ULcertification means the TXgard IS+ can now be used globally, incl uding North America, the Middle East and South East Asia in Zone 0, 1 or 2 or Division 1 or 2 hazardous areas when used with a safety barrier (zener barrier or galvanic isolator).

Typical environments where the Txgard IS+ can be used include plastic, rubber, chemical and semiconductor manufacturing plants, water and sewage treatment plants, steel manufacturing facilities, oil and gas drilling, car parks and tunnels.
