A recent Champion Bakery of Britain, Arthur Chatwins in Nantwich is intent on bringing the highest levels of health & safety to its employees.

Helping the company in this respect are three Nederman Filterboxes that use self-management control systems and have automatic filter cleaning with compressed air. Each Filterbox has a NEX DX arm that has an earthed antistatic hose.

Chatwins traditional methods of production involve the hand dusting of pastry and doughs that can result in high levels of airborne dust.

To protect operators, facemasks had been introduced. However these proved unpopular, especially in summer.

The company subsequently commissioned the Filterboxes and these have satisfied all requirements. An annual maintenance contract ensures that all extraction equipment operates at optimum levels.
