Centralised dust buster supplied
August 1st 2006

Aimia Foods is using a centralised dust extraction unit from Nilfisk-Advance at its manufacturing facility on Merseyside.

A Nilfisk vacuum cleaner is installed as a fixed unit and linked to inlet points along five production lines, ensuring stray particles of powder are removed from sachets after filling, prior to sealing.

The tailor-made system photoincorporates an IV 150 fixed suction unit from Nilfisk's heavy duty I-vac range, connected via stainless steel pipework running to each filling machine. The cleaner has a rated power of 15kW, with a 7.5kW side channel blower and a 45kPa vacuum.

It offers filtration efficiency certified to dust class L (light hazard) as specified under BS EN 60335.2.69.
