Efficient extraction
October 1st 2004

A dust extraction installation for a West Yorkshire-based food production company has been completed by Dust Extraction (International).

Work involved replacing a competitor’s old units with new, more efficient models that meet LEV, CoSHH and the ATEX Directive.

Six separate dust extraction systems were supplied. These use flexible arms that can be moved in and out of position to provide localised dust extraction and have specially designed hoods that fit around dust emission points on the client’s processes.

Dust X mechanically shaken dust collectors were installed, ranging from a single bodied 25M/5.5kW unit through to a triple bodied 120M/18.5kW.

Each has explosion relief panels that are vented to atmosphere.

Extracted dust is collected in plastic bags in bins beneath the hoppers and can be disposed of easily.
