Needing to remove dust
February 1st 2005

WorkPoint has come to the rescue of a steel fabrication company whose AirBench was not working properly due to loss of suction. The bench was installed to handle grinding dust from plasma cut profiles. It is in constant use and heavily loaded.

When WorkPoint engineers stripped the unit down, they were amazed to find the cleanable labyrinth pre-filters absolutely full. No maintenance had been carried out and about 40lb of debris was removed from the bench during cleaning and restoration work.

The company says this shows how the AirBench removes large quantities of potentially hazardous dust and fumes from the workplace.

However, it acknowledges that even such an efficient unit requires some maintenance!
