Dust-free shred

Major progress in the drive towards a cleaner and safer working environment has been announced by Manara Business Machines.

The company, a distributor of IDEAL shredding machines, has developed the Ecoline 2500 shredder/baler system with integral air cleaning module that removes 95 to 98% of airborne particles.

Design and development has been done by Liverpool John Moores University.

By controlling the flow of air through the machine, any paper dust or micro particles that would normally escape into the atmosphere, are trapped by an electrostatic filter.

Ecoline 2500 is a totally integrated modular system housed in a cabinet with a footprint just 3m in length. It incorporates heavy duty shredding technology from IDEAL, electrostatic air-cleaner module and a conveyor-belt link to a continuously compacting vertical baler. Sealed plastic-wrapped and tied bales weigh about 100kg.
