Wet dust collectors
June 1st 2007

Carter Environmental Engineers has installed five Carter-Midac AS820 Autosludge wet dust collectors at the West London Waste household refuse facility in Brentford.

Ensuring clean working conditions for operatives and refuse vehicle drivers, they replace five CEE dust collectors which had been in operation since the depot opened in 1977.

The new units remove airborne dust from 10 tipping bays. Simple in design, they require no expensive, specialist components or control equipment, ensuring minimum maintenance.

Autosludge units feature a self-induced spray zone and are available in a standard range of sizes covering air capacities from 13 000 to 100 000m3/h, offering high collection efficiency and low emission levels. Water levels are automatically regulated by electronic controls, ensuring minimum water consumption.
