DETECTS VOCS AND OTHER TOXIC GASES
February 1st 2004

Available from Ion Science, the PhoCheck 5000EX is an atex

approved intrinsically safe handheld pid instrument that uses photoionisation technology to detect Volatile Organic

Compounds (VOCs) and other toxic gases.

The instrument has a dynamic detecting range between a few ppb and

10 000ppm. The company says it is the only instrument on the market able to detect VOCs at low toxic thresholds and lower explosivity limits.

Used with

appropriate safety protection, it can detect dangerous contaminants, helping workers establish the most appropriate level of PPE for a particular situation.

pc software enables the analysis of downloaded results and the adjustment of features, such as the creation of named detection zones.
