Helps cut costs
August 1st 2004

Crowcon believes its new gas detectors can cut running costs and simplify the maintenance of fixed detection and alarm systems.

Covering toxic, flammable and oxygen hazards, the Xgard range has a universal junction box and replacement sensors that simply plug-in. As many parts are common to all Xgard models, the need to hold a large supply of spares is removed.

A two-year sensor is now available for oxygen monitoring, effectively halving the replacement costs of a one-year unit.

The Xgard combines proven circuitry from the companys TXgard and Flamgard models, that it replaces, with improved pcb accessibility to allow easy calibration.

The detector accepts a range of accessories for harsh or wet conditions, as well as a collector cone for lighter-than-air gases.
