Lower cost PID monitor

Shawcity now offers a full size surveying PID monitor for less than £1000.

The PhoCheck measures up to 4000ppm solvents and VOCs. It has a large, clear display with icons and a simple scrolling menu similar to that of a mobile phone.

Large keypads make it easy to programme.

Included in the range is an intrinsically safe, ATEXapproved version that measures from parts-perbillion to 10 000ppm VOCs.

Suitable for emissions monitoring, leak detection, land clean-up, spills and survey work, the instrument has a detachable 10cm probe. Humidity compensation and on-board menu of 250 of the most common compounds are said to ensure reliable operation.

Options include datalogging with comprehensive software.
