Portable detector with CO2 sensor
April 1st 2006

Honeywell Analytics' Impact range of portable multi-gas detectors now benefits from the company's Surecell technology. A new carbon dioxide replaceable sensor expands the unit's gas detection capability.

Electrochemical sensor technology is said to offer improved sensor performance with better linearity, reduced drift and increased tolerance to temperature shift.

This results in an increased operating temperature and humidity range for CO2 detection.

Sensors are suitable for a range of industries.

Benefits claimed for the Surecell technology include extended sensor lifetime of at least 12 months (during which it is under warranty) and potentially longer depending on application.

The sensor uses Impact's replaceable multi-sensor cartridge concept to house it alongside a broad selection of other toxic gas sensors, an oxygen deficiency cell and a flammable gas channel.
