New goggle launch
February 1st 2005 Pulsafe, the eye protection range from Bacou- Dalloz, has reinforced its pioneering reputation in the industry with the launch of Flex Seal, the world’s first safety goggle made with a silicone body and so able to conform perfectly to any facial profile.
The soft silicone body of Flex Seal ensures a snug, slip-free fit that is perfect for every individual wearer.
Lightweight and flexible, the silicone body of the goggle is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and remains soft and supple in different temperature environments. It doesn’t slip if the wearer’s skin sweats and it is also heat-resistant.
The smart design of Flex Seal offers the wearer a range of simple, practical benefits: - personally adjustable frame with pivoting clips adjustable headband for fast easy fitting
- easy snap-fit clips for quick removal of the headband and lens for cleaning
- indirect ventilation system for channelling and directing air flow to minimise lens fogging

The versatile Flex Seal combines wearer comfort with superb quality components and practical features.
The large wraparound lens ensures the clear, panoramic vision required by regular goggle wearers, while the high quality lenses provide 99.9% UV filtration. The goggle can be fitted with a wide range of replaceable lens – Clear Fog-Ban, Grey Fog-Ban or IR Shades 3 & 5.
The frame is also designed to be compatible with prescription spectacles and, or single use respirators.
To ensure total product compatibility, as required by the HSE, the Flex Seal goggle can be worn with respiratory protection equipment from the Bacou-Dalloz Willson range. One of the most common combinations is safety goggles with a single use respirator, that provides respiratory protection against particulates and aerosols. The Willson 5000 series of moulded single use respirators combines comfort with optimum protection in 11 different formats. This includes respirators that protect against nuisance levels of organic vapours; those that protect against nuisance levels of acid gases and those that protect against organic amine compounds (ammonia). All the Willson 5000 series respirators come in three different sizes, each fitted with the Willtech ultra soft triple seal to ensure a perfect fit so ensuring the respiratory airways are isolated from airborne particles.
The exhalation valve facilitates low breathing resistance; the mask is comfortable to wear during extensive periods. Suitable for use in all types of industries, the Willson 5000 series is environmentally friendly as it is PVC-free.
The respirators are also hypoallergenic, as they do not contain any latex. The combination of the Flex Seal safety goggle together with a Willson single use respirator, is particularly adapted to the safety requirements of the following applications and industries: - general industry (dust, aerosols, sprays and sharp objects)
- finishing (dust, liquid, chemical particles and solids)
- toxic chemicals and painting (projection of toxic materials)
