Bright,light mask design
February 1st 2009

Optrel, a Sperian Protection brand known for welding masks has changed its name to Sperian Welding Protection AG with Optrel becoming integrated within the product names.

The company has reviewed its OSEvolution range and is launching a new range of optoelectronic masks.

It has enhanced the performance of a number of product characteristics on e650, e640, and on its assisted ventilation system, the Optrel e1100.

Optoelectronic masks are designed to withstand demanding welding processes and meet all safety requirements, as well as guaranteeing comfort.

Filters on the Expert Optrel e680 and e670 provide clear, sharp vision and accurately reflect the colours of the part to be welded as well as the indicator lights on the welding machine. Improved visibility also comes from a 33% increase in the field of vision due to a 49.5 x 100mm screen.

Weighing less than 500g, the new masks help welders avoid neck strain and use of bright, metallic colours means internal temperatures can be reduced by up to 50%.
