Powered respirators
February 1st 2005

The Murex Multiflow range of powered respiratory systems comprises air filter unit, air hose and one of an approved range of head units.

Contaminated air is drawn into the air filter by batterypowered motorised fan and passes through the pre-filter and main filter. Clean air is then delivered to the head unit through the air hose.

Multiflow units have an alarm system to warn the user of low battery condition or low airflow.

All units are supplied with partially charged batteries; respirators are powered by NiMH rechargeable batteries that are designed to run for a minimum of 8h.

The hood is mounted on an adjustable harness and provides head and shoulder protection against particulates.

The head-piece is a welding helmet with an electronic switchable 9/13 filter, inner visor providing breathing chamber and impact protection, and air supply channel that, when used with a Multiflow air flow unit, supplies clean air to the user.
