Respirator fit tests
October 1st 2007

Since the implementation of the COSHH approved Code of Practice (HSE 282/28) on Respirator Fit Testing, it is necessary to fit test all users of tight fitting respirators, from breathing apparatus to filtering face pieces. The TSI PortaCount Plus respirator fit tester eliminates the guesswork and is said to reduce the amount of work associated with fit testing in general. The FitPlus Fit Test software that comes with the instrument allows fit testing to be streamlined even further by letting the computer do the work. Manufacturer TSI has a dedicated in-house service and calibration facility and provides a fast turnaround.
