UK SHOW DEBUT FOR RESPIRATORY HELMET April 1st 2004 Helmet Integrated Systems will use this years Safety & Health Expo to show its new Pureflo ESM powered air respirator (PAPR).
The respirator has a high efficiency P3 hepa filter and rechargeable battery pack with a lightweight helmet shell (total weight less than 1500g), providing integrated head, face, eye and respiratory protection, without the need to supply hoses or waist-mounted filter/battery packs.
With an Assigned Protection Factor of 40 and Nominal Protection Factor of 500, Pureflo ESM protects the wearer from airborne contaminants as well as impact from sparks and flying debris.
Significant safety benefits are attributed to the ESM microprocessor that constantly monitors fan delivery, battery power and filter efficiency. Optimum airflow is maintained at the pre-set level of 170l/min.
