Versatile full-face respirator
February 1st 2007 Optifit is a new and highly versatile full face air purifying respirator (APR) mask from Willson, the respiratory equipment brand from Bacou-Dalloz. It is designed to afford a high level of respiratory protection against a range of contaminants, depending on the filter type fitted to it, and comes in three sizes so that it will fit comfortably on almost any face shape or size. Optifit is specified to the highest levels for wearer comfort; functionality and safety were key considerations in its design. The full face polycarbonate visor gives good all-round vision, even in difficult working conditions. A U-shaped seal makes correct positioning easy and is said to be comfortable for long periods. An ultra-light silicon flange aids wearer comfort, while a built-in speech diaphragm enables easy communication. The respirator's silicon exhalation valve facing the mouth ensures no reinhalation and aids communications. A five-point harness with safety buckles allows easy disconnection, while a lateral adapter accommodates employees who wear prescription spectacles.
