Beware of counterfeit and illegal safety products
May 1st 2009 The increasing incidence of Counterfeit and illegal safety products is adversely affecting the safety of workers using these products when they do not perform and they cannot rely on "what is said on the tin" . The BSIF is launching a campaign which will endeavour to begin the elimination of counterfeit and illegal products. The campaign encourages manufacturers and distributors to sign up to the Registered Safety Suppliers Scheme to demonstrate that they can be trusted to provide genuine, legal and essentially safe products to protect people at work.
