BSIF Awards: New Safety Excellence award launched
April 22nd 2008

The BSIF is launching a new award for Safety Excellence at the Safety & Health Expo this year. This will complete the series of awards mounted by the Federation following the successful launch of its Safety Service Awards last year. These awards will be presented at the Expo on Tuesday 13th May.

The Safety Excellence Awards are based upon submitted case studies of existing and specific safety activities which have created improvements in the occupational safety of organisations. Each entry needs to be supported by the company who has experienced the occupational safety improvement.

These awards will be presented to every entrant who, in the opinion of the judging panel, has met or exceeded the criteria of the BSIF Safety Excellence Award scheme.

BSIF Service Awards are open to Distributors supplying End Users, Manufacturers supplying Distributors, Test houses supplying Manufacturers and Professionals consulting to Users. Entrants are required to provide the contact details of five customer companies who are sent a confidential questionnaire.

Using clearly defined topic areas, these customers are asked to rate the entrant for each category. Using the returns, an average score is calculated and the entry achieving the highest average score wins an award.

The pre-judging of the Safety Product Innovation Awards has identified the eleven finalists. (See below).
