INNOVATION AWARDS
June 1st 2007

The BSIF presented its Innovation Awards at a special luncheon within the Safety and Health Expo at the NEC this year.

"In addition to this being the first time that these awards have been the focus of a dedicated event", said David Lummis, Managing Director of BSIF Enterprises, "This is the first year that the BSIF Innovation Service Awards have been presented. We now have plans to develop and extend the scope of BSIF Awards. In doing this, we have no desire to duplicate the plethora of other awards schemes within the safety industry and we will seek to be innovative in recognising creative approaches to a wide range of products and services in the future".

The Service Innovation Awards, sponsored by 3M UK, are based on the way in which customers rate the service they receive. Each entrant provides details of the top five customers it wishes to be approached. Award administrators make a confidential approach to the customers listed and arrange for the completion of a standard questionnaire. Each response is rated by an independent panel of judges and these ratings provide the basis for the awards. Finalists and Award winners featured in a special display area on the BSIF's stand at Expo. If you didn’t get the chance to look at the products at the NEC, HSM has further details of the winners on page 60 of this issue.
