‘ROGUE’ PRODUCTS December 1st 2007 There has been a dramatic increase in the incidence of ‘rogue products’ on the UK market and elsewhere across the EU with the BSIF receiving growing evidence of ‘passing-off’, noncompliance and illegal CE.
Marking in respect of PPE. Major concerns are that non-compliant PPE presents real and significant health and safety risks to users. The illegal use of markings and misleading information adversely affect the user's ability to identify and deploy suitable PPE.
