The BSIF Networking Day – a date for your diary
June 1st 2008

The 2008 BSIF Networking Day is to be held at the popular Forest of Arden hotel on Monday 13th October. David Lummis of BSIF Enterprises, the event organiser, summarised the programme as "The top social event in the safety industry's calendar.

"Following last year’s event, the Networking Day and Gala Dinner will continue with the theme of a more relaxed atmosphere and greater networking opportunities. As usual it is a day for the whole industry to get together, enjoy themselves and talk with old friends and new colleagues.

Winetasting

Once again the evening will start with an informal winetasting (kindly sponsored by Greenham and Flint Insurance) enabling guests to try some fine wines and informally meet fellow industry members.

Following the Gala Dinner, our entertainer is Phil Perry, the highly accomplished Magician who entertained us with close up magic last year. His cabaret act is something to behold. We must also thank Arco for kindly sponsoring the Dinner wines and CMPi for sponsoring the dinner itself.

Leisure pursuits

As always, central to our networking events are the competitive ‘leisure’ pursuits.

Once again the Aearo Golf

Tournament is staged on the Forest of Arden’s challenging courses and this year we have many more places booked on the championship Arden course.

For the Karting enthusiast, we return to the scene of last years thrills and spills at the Birmingham Wheels Karting Centre for the Health & Safety Matters Grand Prix. This year the Uvex outdoor pursuits challenge includes new challenges and old favourites.

Blind Driving for the adventurous souls, Clay Pigeon shooting, Gun Dog Trials and Longbow archery."
