Making the industry’s views heard
December 7th 2011 The safety industry is becoming increasingly dynamic in its nature. Over the past few months the BSIF has been liaising with a number of bodies and Government officials regarding proposed revisions to legislation and consultations.
These liaisons include the BSIF submitting feedback to the EU Commission concerning proposed amendments to the PPE Directive and participating in the consultative process of the Lofstedt Review ensuring the views of the Federation and its members were aired.
The BSIF is heavily involved in contributing to industry standards and legislations; it actively encourages its members to participate in this process to help shape the marketplace. Over the next couple of years, it will be pivotal for businesses to understand the changes in the revised PPE Directive and how they will affect business. Organisations will need to move with the times in order to keep abreast of the industry and adapt to new environments.
