Polyco picks up Product Innovation Award
June 1st 2009

Polyco has been awarded the prestigious BSIF Product Innovation Award for its unique, knitted cut level 5 glove, Metallica. The glove has very high cut resistant but is also said to be lightweight and dextorous.

It was with great pleasure that Bernard Garvey, Polyco's technology director, accepted the award.

"We are extremely pleased with the award, it is a tremendous accolade," commented Garvey. "We developed Metallica as an easy to use alternative to the widely used chainmail gloves, to be used in industries where high level cut resistance and dexterity is equally important. Using a unique technology to create a lightweight but robust design, Metallica has proven to be a great success and we are delighted that our efforts have been recognised by such a respected industry body".

The glove is intended for use in environments where high cut resistance is required such as: Industrial Blade Replacement, Foam Cutting, Cloth Cutting, Glass Handling, Butchery and Food Processing
