Fibre glass ladders
June 1st 2005

The new range of Catwalk fibre glass ladders from SGB Youngman is said to offer unrivalled safety.

The company points out that fibre glass is strong, light and rugged and says that, unlike timber, it will not split, crack or rot, and it will not corrode, dent or fatigue. As fibre glass is non-conductive, ladders can be used near electrical equipment.

Youngman Catwalk ladders and steps are made in a variety of colours. The new Catwalk six-step trade stepladder with a working height of 3.15m is green.

Heavy duty step ladders are yellow while the industrial grade steps are all orange.

SGB believes that until recently fibre glass ladders were regarded very much as niche sector products with a premium price. However, advances in the manufacturing process have allowed a price breakthrough, making the benefits of fibre glass available to all ladder users.
