Guidance system August 1st 2006 Tensator has introduced an Aircraft Passenger Guidance system that is designed to minimise the time passengers spend exiting an aircraft. The device is quickly deployed in a single direction to close off dangerous under-wing areas and ensure passenger safety when disembarking.
Rachel Waters, marketing manager, explains "We are very excited about the APG. It is a robust and safe passenger guidance solution that will reduce passenger on-place waiting times."
The new trolley and four post system satisfies the requirement for a portable, robust solution to ensure passengers do not stray into potentially dangerous underwing areas. The APG features the company's Tensabarrier retractable webbing cassette to allow fast and easy deployment, as well as condensed storage. When required, the APG unit is positioned and then extended in one direction to form a high visibility guidance barrier. Once the APG has been used, it can quickly and safely be removed for storage.
