For easy lifting June 1st 2006 Available from Eazi Lift, the Harnser is a lightweight, portable device that fits securely in any window opening in a matter of minutes. It enables items, such as windows, to be removed, lowered, lifted and replaced by a sole operator, saving time and cost.
The operator always works from inside the building, so the risk of falls is virtually eliminated. As the Harnser does the lifting, the risk of back or other injuries connected with lifting heavy, awkwardly shaped items, is significantly reduced.
Inventor, Jeff Crowder, says the driving force behind the product's two-year development programme, was his desire to save lives.
He says "Falls from height remain the biggest single cause of workplace deaths, with 67 fatal accidents in 2003/2004 alone.
"Working from ladders, or even scaffolding and platforms, can be extremely dangerous, especially where heavy window frames are being man-handled. Now, there is a real alternative." |
