Spanner key to safety

Scaffold structures need to be strong in order to support their own weight and to provide a safe working platform. However, without a high quality spanner, the safety of the entire structure can be compromised, according to Smith Francis Tools.

The company has been manufacturing the Priory brand of scaffolding tools for four generations. Every spanner is inspected and tested by hand and each bears a code unique to its batch giving full traceability for the specially produced steel.

The latest addition to the range is the Super Heavy Duty Rivetless Scaffold Spanner, the strongest spanner ever produced by the company. The socket is broached from alloy steel and machined to exacting tolerances. The ergonomically shaped handle is also made from alloy steel and the two are retained by a high tensile fastener.
