Keeping heat out
June 1st 2005

Suitable for those on construction sites and roads who work with tarmac and other hot surfaces, Jaltarmac footwear protects against hazards such as burns.

Jallatte has produced the footwear to protect employees from temperatures to 300°C and it also provides resistance to oils and hydrocarbons.

A Triftane outsole combines Neotril with the company’s lightweight expanded micro-cellular material Softane. As well as providing a comfort layer in the sole, the Softane layer acts as a thermal insulator, preventing the foot arch from overheating.

To ensure that workers avoid the thermal shock effect of walking on newly laid tarmac with temperatures of about 150/160°C, Jaltarmac has an Isoltane insole.

Further protection comes from a steel punctureresistant midsole.
