Site safety campaign
June 1st 2006

To help raise health and safety standards in the construction industry, APlant has launched a campaign called Making Your Safety Our Priority.

As part of the campaign it has introduced a site pack comprising folders, posters, stickers, Harm-Arm Vibration leaflets and a 60-page health and safety handbook.

In the area of Hand-Arm Vibration safety, A-Plant has an ongoing commitment to provide customers with vibration-reduced power tools and equipment and it has invested in equipment with reduced vibration outputs.

In association with Hire Association Europe, the company has adopted the Traffic Light method of indicating possible risks to prolonged exposure to vibration. It is also hosting a series of health and safety themed open days nationwide.

Richard Winfield, performance standards director, comments "This is a major commitment by A Plant and reflects the added-value benefits we can offer our customers."
