Hearing protection
April 1st 2008

In many noisy working environments the need for plugging the ears can create another risk – difficulties in hearing sounds critical to people's safety.

The low attenuation available from Variphone ear plugs such as 11dB can prevent the user's risk of sound isolation.

Variphone hearing protection offers planned solutions for workforces. In conjunction with Hearing Coach, it aims to achieve optimum solutions to prevent hearing impairment and stress from noise, while retaining good communication.

Variphone ear plugs have a separate test canal so that the fit and noise reduction level can be verified while the user is wearing them.

The attenuation range available is from 11 to 34dB.

Using the company's attenuation control unit, pressure is used to check quickly how effectively the plug blocks the ear canal as well as the attenuation level of the sound reduction filter.

The Variphone Mira test system measures sound inside and outside the ear, calculating the real protection value of the ear plugs when worn and when exposed to noise.
