LOW WEIGHT DESIGN FOR PORTABLE TOILET
June 1st 2005

To help construction companies meet the requirements of the Manual Handling Regulations, Satellite Industries has developed a lightweight, portable plastic toilet specially for the UK market.

Weighing just 88kg, the Maxim 3000 toilet is fitted with a newly developed one-piece moulded base that comprises a floor and runners that have an increased thickness to ensure stability.

To help offset the possibility of the toilet being blown over in high winds, the runners beneath the toilet cubicle have stake holes to enable the unit to be secured to almost any surface.

The base is elevated to almost 9mm off the ground to allow the toilet to be loaded and unloaded while using a forklift truck. Walls are made from smooth plastic sheets to aid cleaning and the toilet console lifts up for easy servicing. A lever retains the lid in the raised position while an operative pumps and cleans the unit.
