Safe on site with Scott Health and Safety June 1st 2007 Scott Health and Safety's comprehensive range of
head protection products and unrivalled negative
pressure respirators are not only acknowledged for
their innovative engineering and quality of
manufacture, these products are utilised by some of the
largest names in the construction industry both
domestically and internationally.
The Protector head protection range from Scott Health
and Safety offers a combination of exceptional design
features including stability, balance and lightweight high
performance materials in manufacturing modern stylish
helmets and bump caps, to ensure maximum user comfort,
whilst effectively promoting companies identities in a bold
and professional manner. With extensive solutions for
head, face, eye and hearing protection, Protector can offer
the complete head protection package.
Harnessing experience and technology
Protector's safety helmet head harness combinations are
widely regarded as some of the most balanced and stable
head protection available. The standard shape and
connection used in the head harness, utilises an eight
point attachment system for increased comfort, impact
dispersion and balanced weight distribution. The head
harness is shaped to aid connection of hearing protection
and uniquely extends further down towards the nape of
the neck, cradling the bone at the back of the head. This
provides greater stability and security on the head, even in
applications that require a lot of movement, to work at
height or in awkward positions.
With one of the largest head size adjustments in the
marketplace - 50-66cm, standard or ratchet style
adjustment options to suit individual preferences, you can
now use one helmet type for all workers.
The Protector Style 600 is specifically designed for
users who want maximum comfort, protection and style.
Manufactured from a high calibre, lightweight ABS
material, Style 600 can be specified with an optional
retractable eye shield for increased eye protection. CE
certified to EN397, Style 600 is also certified for the
optional tests in the standard for molten metal, lateral
deformation, +-30°C and electrical insulation.
The Protector Style 300 is an extremely lightweight and
well balanced safety helmet. Weighing in at only 310 grams
it is ideal for long periods of use and includes an effective
rain gutter. Manufactured from High
Density Polyethylene (HDPE), the
unique scalloped design easily
permits the attachment of
hearing protection and other
forms of PPE.
The Tuffmaster II is a
traditional shaped
helmet available in
a reduced peak
option to provide
good vision during all
applications - particularly useful when working at height
in construction or utilities industries.
Standard 30mm accessory slots allow for all protector
helmets to integrate easily with both the Interchange 900
face shield protection range and full range of hearing
protection. The Protector range is available in a choice of
colours and can be chosen with
many styles of headgear, with
optional ventilation holes and a
choice of accessories including
chin straps, sweatbands and
winter liners.
The new Interchange 900
prevents facial injury from
impact or splash by using
a range of specially
shaped face shields
to comprehensively
protect the wearer, whilst allowing full
movement of the wearer's head to ensure
maximum vision and comfort.

Breathing easy at work
Scott Health & Safety recently
responded to market requirements by
undertaking a major review of its
Negative Pressure Respirator range,
involving rationalisation and
innovative design modifications to
their range of half and full facemasks.
The comprehensive range of respirator
products are available in a selection
of sizes, choice of materials and
single or twin filter styles that
account for user preference and make
it easier to comply with fit test, whilst
providing comfort in use and
protection against a wide variety of
respiratory hazards.
The new premium Profile40 and
Profile60 single and twin filter half
masks have been designed to provide
ultimate levels of comfort and safety.
Featuring a clear facepiece moulded in
flexible and durable Liquid Silicone
Rubber (LSR), this is shaped to
provide a wide flat faceseal to
easily achieve and maintain an
efficient, comfortable seal
without pressure. Ribs inside
the nose
bridge seal without gripping to ensure
no outward leakage towards the eyes,
making Profile40 and Profile60 suited
for use with spectacles, goggles and
with most other types of personal
protective equipment.
Head movements are absorbed by a
bellows section at the nose and chin,
preventing slippage or leaks at the
seal, and the fast-don harness keeps
the mask comfortable and secure.
Scott's new Profile40 and Profile60
half masks are simple to maintain and
offers users low through-life costs.
The Profile 40 single filter half
mask has a standard 40mm EN148-1
thread connection and utilises an
extensive selection of lightweight
Pro2000 canister filters to
provide cost efficient
protection. The
Profile60
twin filter
half mask
utilises
Pro2
range of
cartridge filters which are designed to
provide excellent balance and to
maximise duration.
