Sweeping savings
August 1st 2004

Based in Southampton, Trevor Hill Construction has found the answer to the unpopular and labour intensive task of sweeping up at the end of the day.

The company uses a SweepEx modular brush system from Broadwood International and, instead of two employees spending up to two days sweeping after building work has been completed, the device is fitted to a skid-steer loader and the job completed in half an hour.

The compact design of the SweepEx allows a powerful sweeping action both forwards and backwards, allowing rapid, efficient and economical sweeping of large areas. It is able to withstand the toughest of environments as broom heads and mounting hardware are made from industrial strength steel, with heavy duty powder coat finish.

The easily and quickly replaceable polypropylene brush section has 11 rows of 30cm bristles for effective sweeping. The robust brushes provide about 450 miles of sweeping before they need changing.
