Harness visible from 600 metres June 1st 2006 Lightweight and durable, the Exelite Safety Harness produces its own vibrant light that can be seen by the naked eye from a distance of 600m.
The increased visibility afforded by the harness is a result of illumination generated by radio frequency, rather than traditional incandescence, making it visible through fog, smoke and rain, with no glare effect.
Mike Barnett, CEO, comments "The electroluminescence light from the Exelite harnesses is strong enough to let the wearer and those around him see their way in the dark. This provides additional benefits to workers in environments where they could be left in total darkness or where there is no emergency lighting."
The product is available in three operational modes (constant, fast and slow blink) and this enables workers to differentiate between different sectors and allow the subject to be identified from all angles.
The harnesses can be designed to an organisation's specific requirements and in specific industry colours. They are powered by a rechargeable battery pack that lasts for periods of 12 or 24h. |
