Updated booklet for construction workers
June 1st 2006

Construction sites are difficult environments in which to get people to embrace the safety cultures designed to protect them.

Most workers do not use computers and are uncomfortable in classrooms, so on-site training needs to be effective, fast and motivating.

Scriptographic Publications has updated its Health and Safety in Building and Construction booklet to reflect the revised Working at Height Regulations, to bring its manual handling advice in line with HSE recommendations and increase emphasis on noise, hand-arm vibration and slips, trips and falls.

The updated booklet, one of 200 titles, aims to present training and safety messages in a way that can be absorbed in minutes and motivate long-lasting changes in behaviour.
