International Stress
Management Association
(ISMA) is holding its 9th
annual conference, which
focuses on preventing
work-related stress and
other key issues relating
to stress management.
The conference has
attracted some of the
UK's leading experts from
the field of stress and
will take place at The
Institute of Child Health
in London on 27th June
2008.
In addition to the
latest research on the
role of management
competencies and
leadership in preventing
work-related stress there
will be an update on the
Health and Safety
Executive's management
standards approach to
stress in the workplace.
"We also emphasise the
importance of managing
individual stress, looking
at the research and best
practice interventions,"
ISMA chair Jane Thomas
explains.
Workshops will address
the latest research,
theory and practice on
coaching at work and its
role in managing stress,
the detection and
elimination of drugs and
alcohol in the workplace
and the issue of selfinflicted
stress.
The event is open to
members and nonmembers
of ISMA. |
