Card printers
June 1st 2006

Printers and accessories are available from DED to help companies design and print training and certification cards for drivers of plant machinery and fork lift trucks, and for first aiders.

CardFive, a sophisticated ID card design and database software tool, can be used with any plastic card printer.

Capable of creating cards containing barcodes, text, images, and so on, it can also capture photographs, signatures and, with the Elite version, fingerprints.

DED also offers a range of accessories, including badge reels, clips and card holders.

When put under force, the break-away lanyards pull apart to prevent injury.

The company's range of plastic ID and security card printers includes the entry level Magicard Alto that prints up to 1500 cards per year, the Zebra P330i that prints a full colour card in just 25sec and is said to be one of the most reliable and high performance printers available, and the higher volume Zebra P420i, a dual sided card printer capable of printing two sides of a card in just 35sec.
