Optrel, part of the Bacou Dalloz group, has launched two optoelectronic welding helmets that are said to set the safety benchmark for all similar welding PPE.

The Orion OSE and the Helios helmets protect the wearer’s eyesight while providing a high level of comfort.

Both helmets can be used during all electric arc welding processes and provide constant protection against UV and IR rays, as well as shade adjustment levels from DIN 9 to 13. An angle detection adjustment of 120 - 60° prevents the triggering of a filter by welders working nearby.

A feature of the Orion OSE is sensor technology that automatically adjusts the shade level in response to the intensity of the arc welding light.

A third helmet, the Miraplus OSE, offers simple, cost effective practicality and features a manual shade level selector for din 10 or 11.
