Height safety initiative
June 1st 2008

To support the HSE's Shattered Lives campaign, and with particular emphasis on enhancing safety levels for working at height, APlant has introduced a new initiative called 'Be Safe, Be Competent, Choose A-Plant'.

Its aim is to raise awareness of the risks involved in working at height and the actions that should be taken to minimise the dangers of slips, trips and falls in the workplace.

The company offers solutions for many types of work at height with a wide range of powered access equipment and training services available. Its hire fleet comprises almost 2000 items including scissor lifts, telescopic booms, articulating booms, trailermounted machines and specialist equipment such as lightweight aluminium personnel lifts and trackmounted booms.

The A-Plant Access Safety Training Centre offers a series of one-day powered access training courses covering a range of MEWPs.

These are approved by both IPAF and PASMA.
