Storage for chemicals
June 1st 2006

Storing a range of chemicals from hydrochloric to sulphuric acid, Brenntag's Lutterworth site houses a total of 14 tanks. The recent addition of three new 50k litre tanks has seen the completion of an upgrade to tank facilities that now rely solely on Allibert Helix's helically wound design.

Robert Bagshaw, operations manager, says "It's imperative that chemical products are stored as safely and efficiently as possible and as a result all of our tanks are now from Allibert Helix."

The three new tanks were produced using a winding process that creates a stressfree tank with no seams.

Working life is said to be at least 20 years.
