As easy as LDV
October 1st 2005

LDV, manufacturer of light commercial vehicles, has taken delivery of six Nu- Star Power Pushers to move vehicle bodies on the production line at its Birmingham site.

Using the Power Pushers for a trial period convinced the company that they would deliver the productivity and health and safety benefits it wanted and that operators would be able to quickly connect to, and disconnect from, the fleet of 70+ trolleys that carry vehicle bodies.

The Power Pusher is one of a range of pedestrian operated electric tug units designed and made by Nu- Star for moving wheeled loads ranging from 500 to in excess of 100 000kg.

All tugs are self contained with maintenance-free gel batteries, on-board waterproof battery chargers, puncture-proof tyres and programmable controls. Machines can be bought or hired.
