FLAMMABLE LIQUID STORAGE CABINETS
August 1st 2004

The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) includes an explanation of the standards that cabinets and enclosures must meet if they are tested.

Walter Page (Safeways) claims to be the first company to independently test flammable liquid storage cabinets to ensure that they comply.

Cabinets were tested by a leading fire research, testing and consulting agency. Fire performance was tested using the heating conditions of BS476:Part 20:1987 and en1363-1:1999.

The cabinets passed the appropriate test criteria and after the test it was ascertained that both sumps in the cabinet were liquid tight and that the doors could be easily opened and closed by hand. A copy of the Test Confirmation is available upon request.

A free, detailed catalogue is available from the company.
